Copies, 1753-1775, of documents pertaining to an act passed in Jersey in 1747-1748 for running the line of partition between New York and New Jersey. Included is a 1753 copy of the representation of the Board of Trade upon the act; notes, dated 1769, from the journal of the proceedings of the commissioners of New York; a 1756-1757 document referring the petition of the proprietors of East New Jersey for a temporary provisional line between the states to the Lords of the Committee of Council for Plantation Affairs; and a copy of accounts of the money expended in running the division line between New York and New Jersey and pulling up boundary stones, prepared at Perth Amboy and dated 1775.
